Learn mindfulness tools to support your healing journey.
Engage with art invitations to grieve and find peace.
This group is for you if you are:
Processing the emotional and physical aftermath of childbirth.
Feeling unsettled, overwhelmed, or isolated after your birth experience.
Wanting to reflect on your birth story in a supportive, empowering environment.
Healing from a traumatic birth experience (e.g., medical complications, unexpected interventions, or feelings of powerlessness).
Interested in gaining insight, coping strategies, and emotional tools to move forward.
Leah Chalofsky
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #83622) with a Perinatal Mental Health Certification. I graduated with a Masters Degree in 2008 and have been in private practice since 2015. I provide therapy in San Francisco and online throughout California. My style is warm and supportive, with the intention for clients to feel heard. I also challenge clients to use their strengths to heal and grow.
My approach is client-centered and explores how childhood experiences have influenced your present life. Elements of mindfulness-based methods (such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and non-verbal approaches (such as art and guided imagery) are integrated into the sessions. The relationship between the therapist and client offers opportunities for healing and transformation.
